How has Phi Sigma Sigma impacted you both as a collegian and an alumna?

Phi Sig impacted me as a collegian in so many ways. I gained life-long friendships, experiences in leadership, how to plan events and how to navigate difficult situations. Phi Sig allowed me to gain confidence in myself as a young adult and I have carried that with me ever since graduation. As an alumna, I have found how amazing our "sister network" is. Living in Michigan, it is common to run into sisters from different chapters and everyone is always willing to connect and help each other out.

Why did you choose to volunteer and why do you continue to stay involved? My collegiate experience in Phi Sigma Sigma was some of the best years of my life and my hope is that the collegians I advise are able to have that same experience. I stay involved because I love what Phi Sigma Sigma stands for and I love mentoring young women to help them become the best version of themselves.

What is your favorite memory as a Phi Sigma Sigma volunteer? My favorite memory as a Phi Sigma Sigma volunteer was going to Convention last year with my sister who was archon of Delta Theta. Our flight got canceled, and we ended up driving 10 hours through the night to get to Convention on time! It was COMPLETELY worth it!

What advice do you have for our seniors as they prepare to transition to alumna life? My advice for our Phi Sigma Sigma seniors is to always make time for your friendships. Life is going to get hectic with "big girl" jobs, getting married, buying a house, moving and/or going to graduate school. With all the craziness you will need your sisters for all those stages of life so don't lose touch! Also, make sure to keep up with all the awesome things HQ is doing for the Fraternity!
