We are faced with tough choices every time the road turns unexpectedly. BUT, because you had the foresight to choose a lifetime of sisterhood, you will never be alone on your journey.
The path may not be what it originally seemed, but you are supported to overcome every detour that comes your way. While out of our control, detours challenge our character and hold us accountable to our commitments.
Because of the Oath you ONCE took, you are ALWAYS a sister with a plan and a path forward. Follow the turns, lean into the curves and stay grounded to the road ahead.
This may not have been the path you had in mind as you began this semester with excitement and optimism, but we invite you to trust in us. As sisters we are choosing to connect and engage with one another in new and exciting ways. Follow us . . . the journey through begins here.

Fall 2020 Programs
Emerging Leader Summit
This fall, Phi Sigma Sigma will be hosting a virtual leadership summit for any collegians interested in pursuing future leadership rolls within their chapter or community. Lead by industry experts, the Emerging Leader Summit will help developing leaders hone their skills in a variety of topic areas including motivation, accountability, diversity, equity and inclusion and more!

THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS
Chapter Programming
More than ever, we need to remain connected to one another. Observing social distancing best practices doesn't mean our sisters have to feel alone.
For the fall 2020 semester, chapters will continue to provide virtual programming for their chapter members. Members will need to get creative and think outside of the confines of a "typical" event when planning the fall calendar. We are here to help brainstorm ideas or help you think through how to adjust a favorite event to fit the virtual format.

The Build
WE BUILD TO OUR WALLS - JUNE 2020
New members, we know this isn’t the experience you imagined. Rites of passage are important and because initiation is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to commit to a life-long membership in the organization, we have created a special opportunity for those who had their initiation postponed.
Fraternity WEEKLY MEETING
As we came together as one PHI SIGMA SIGMA, we hosted weekly, virtual Fraternity Meetings. A guest “presiding officer” went live on Instagram to announce updates and announcements in a familiar format. Immediately following the online event, the recording and detailed “minutes” were distributed to all collegiate members across the country.

HOSTED MARCH 29 - MAY 3
Throughout June, C.A.M.P. Phi Sig offered something familiar and maintained routine and structure in the absence of academic classes and assignments. Online on-the-go programming allowed members to continue to engage without being tied to their computers.
Finally, the weather is warming up and we're thinking about camp. Whether you spent summers crafting with friends, honing new skills, enjoying your backyard, playing sports, sleeping in a bunk bed, canoeing on the lake or curling up inside with a good book, our sisterhood DETOUR is taking its next turn…

The Next 90 Days
A SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION FOR SENIORS
For the spring 2020 graduates, we provided a variety of online programs, networking opportunities and launched our first one-on-one mentoring pilot program with over 200 mentor/mentee pairs.
The detour you are experiencing as a graduating senior has the potential to highlight just how important the support of sisters is when transitioning to the "real world."
As many of you are currently experiencing gaps in student services and resources, there is a strong need for professional guidance, networking and coaching.
Phi Sigma Sigma prides itself on having over 30,000 professional alumnae around the world in a wide range of industries. We want to ensure you are successful engaging our network through a guided mentoring program where you will receive one-on-one virtual mentoring, guidance for job applications, interview prep and the critical resources to promote success.

We are so thankful to have the support of our sisters in a time like this! While our DETOUR program focuses on virtual engagement and community for our collegiate members, there are many ways for you to stay connected or reconnect as an alumna member.
Community and connection are a vital part of life, especially as we navigate these current challenges.
