Trinity Schiff
Epsilon Alpha, House Director - 2025-2026

Trinity is a 2021 graduate of Illinois State University with a bachelor’s in psychology. She was involved in the Honors Program, Epsilon Sigma Alpha and Psi Chi Honor Society. Trinity attributes her personal and professional development to her time spent working in University Housing, Admissions and Freshman Orientation. While serving as house director she will be continuing her education as a first year Master’s student in the Clinical Counseling Psychology program at ISU.

Trinity’s welcome message to residents:

I am so excited to be part of such an amazing organization this upcoming academic year. Phi Sigma Sigma’s values of leadership, service, and sisterhood deeply resonate with me, and I feel honored to support a community that empowers women to grow and thrive. I’m especially looking forward to building strong relationships, creating a welcoming and supportive home environment, and watching our incredible members grow both personally and academically throughout the year. Serving as House Director is a meaningful opportunity, and I’m truly grateful to be in a role where I can contribute to such a positive and inspiring sisterhood.

One of my main goals for the year is to help foster a warm, inclusive, and supportive home where every member feels comfortable, valued, and connected. I hope to encourage an environment where the women of Phi Sigma Sigma feel empowered to uplift one another, build meaningful friendships, and take pride in the space they share. Whether it's through open communication, collaboration, or simply making the house feel like a true home, I want to support a community where everyone can thrive both individually and as a sisterhood.

FACILITY EXPECTATIONS

Restrictions Furnishing Your Room

Phi Sigma Sigma provides each resident with a bed, dresser, desk and chair (unless otherwise noted on your agreement). All facility-provided furniture must remain in the designated rooms it is placed in. If any furniture is missing from the individual bedrooms during move-out you will be fined the cost to replace the missing furniture. Additionally, you may NOT bring your own furniture into your room without the permission of the NHC.

Best Practices When Decorating Your Room

Instead, you may use small tacks or nails to hang approved items in order to protect the walls. If you need additional outlets you need to uses a power strip or surge protector that has an on/off switch to avoid tripping the breaker and the damage of your personal electronics. Do not use extension cords, they are not safe and can causes fires.

Maintaining Common Spaces

Residents should not move, remove or rearrange any furniture or décor in the common areas. These items have been intentionally selected, placed and installed by a professional designer to ensure the space is both functional and welcoming. More importantly, their placement aligns with ADA accessibility guidelines and local fire code regulations. Altering the layout may unintentionally create safety or compliance issues. It is important that residence report any damage, stains, major spills or missing common space items to the NHC at housing@phisigmasigma.org.

Shared Bathrooms & Laundry

To keep shared bathroom and laundry spaces clean and accessible for everyone, please take personal accountability and remind that when you leave a space, no one is coming in behind you to take care of anything you left behind.

When doing laundry, avoid overloading the machines or leaving laundry unattended. Overfilling washers or dryers can damage the machines and prevent clothes from being properly cleaned or dried. Additionally, leaving unfinished laundry in the machines can delay others from using them and creates unnecessary backups. Be courteous by promptly removing your items when cycles are complete.

Shared bathrooms are a communal space, and it’s important to keep them clean and respectful for everyone. Dispose of trash properly, wipe down surfaces after use, remove hair from surfaces and drains and avoid leaving personal items behind. Maintaining general cleanliness helps ensure a comfortable and hygienic environment for all residents.

Facility Responsibilities at Move Out

When it is time to move out it is extra important all personal items are removed during move-out. Personal items will be disposed of over once you are no longer a resident.

  • Do not leave anything in your bedroom or the house hallway. If you have gently used items, you no longer want, please consider donating them to the local Goodwill or thrift store. Empty out and dispose of all trash, do not leave in the hallway, A cleaning fee will be applied to your housing deposit if you fail to put items in the dumpster.

  • Turn off the lights

  • Place your keys in an envelope with your name and room number on it. Leave the envelope on the desk or bed of your room. Any lost keys or unreturned keys will result in a fee.

  • Submit a change of address with your local post office or online at usps.com. Log into all your online shopping accounts and remove the facility’s address to avoid auto shipment to the wrong address. Phi Sigma Sigma is not held liable for any lost packages.
