Meet the Chapter Coaches


Phi Sigma Sigma Headquarters is pleased to welcome Sarah Alonzo, Carrie Buente and Natalia Verduzco. As chapter coaches, they will serve as the primary contact for collegiate chapters and executive board officers. Coaches work closely with executive officers and advisors, providing administrative support, financial operations oversight and day-to-day coaching. Additionally, coaches are responsible for the overall well-being, viability and perpetuity of the assigned portfolio of chapters.

"We are excited to welcome Sarah, Carrie and Natalia to the Headquarters team as chapter coaches. In this role, they will provide critical day-to-day support to our collegiate leaders, helping to ensure the success of our chapters," said Executive Director Michelle Ardern. "Phi Sigma Sigma is committed to providing a premier membership experience and we look forward to continuing to support our chapters and developing our collegiate leaders to become women of substance, character and influence."

Sarah Alonzo is a graduate of the University of La Verne and an alumna of the Theta Upsilon Chapter. Sarah has a master's degree in music - choral conducting from Azusa Pacific University. Previously, she served as the Choir Director at Redlands Christian Academy where she lead sixth through twelfth grade students in curriculum and preparation for performance. She is passionate about the use of thoughtful and intentional opportunities for students to gain new skills and perspective through their lived experiences. Sarah lives in Pomona, California.


Carrie Buente is a graduate of Lindenwood University and an alumna of the Iota Phi Chapter. She has a master’s degree in higher education and has professional experience working with both residential life and the fraternity sorority community at Lindenwood University and most recently as property manager for Kappa Alpha Theta. Since 2018, Carrie has served as an active Fraternity volunteer and is a recipient of Phi Sigma Sigma's Alumnae Volunteer Emerging Leader Award. Carrie lives in St. Louis, Missouri.

Natalia Verduzco is a graduate of the California State University, Stanislaus and an alumna of the Theta Mu Chapter. She is currently enrolled in a master’s program at National University for Education Counseling. She was the archon of her chapter in spring 2020 when operations transitioned to a virtual setting and is proud of her work with the chapter during that time. In her previous role as a substitute teacher, she always looked for new ways to connect with and inspire her students. Natalia lives in Porterville, California.
