OFFICER ELECTIONS

Eligible

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Active members and new members are eligible to apply for executive board as long as they meet the criteria outlined below:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (or higher if specified in the chapter constitution)

  • Up-to-date on dues payment

  • Will be an active member for the entire term

  • Willing to live in the chapter house for the next academic year (if applicable)

  • No standards board outcomes preventing her form holding an executive board position

  • Able to attend the required events and training

 

New Members - ARE eligible if the meet the criteria above

Suspended members - NOT eligible 

Limited members - eligible if they will be active in spring 2024 

Alumnae - NOT eligible (this includes members who took alumna status before graduating) â€‹

EXECUTIVE BOARD APPLICATIONS

  • Executive board applications opened on Monday, September 9. You received your chapter's application via email. Search for the subject line "Apply Now: 2025 Executive Board Applications are Live!" in your inbox.​​

  • Any members interested in applying for executive board are encouraged to complete the "Certified to Lead" course on Reach 360 (formerly Rise). (Register Here)

  • When applying for executive board, you are applying for the board in general, not a specific position.
     

NOMINATING COMMITTEE & SLATING PROCESS

  • Academic classes will meet during chapter to select recommendations for nominating committee members

  • Once the archon and CKA finalize the nominating committee, the list of committee members will be shared with the chapter

  • Nominating committee members will review all executive board applications and propose a slate of executive board officers for the chapter to vote on

  • While all conversations and deliberations of the nominating committee are confidential, the identity of the nominating committee members is not confidential​

CALLS FOR CONCERN

  • After executive board applications close, the nominating committee chair announces the names of all applicants to the chapter. ​

  • The MAL will set up a time with their standards board where members can come express any concerns regarding the applicants​.

  • The standards board will deliberate based on any evidence presented, and offer a recommendation to the nominating committee via the Candidate Verification Form. ​
     

VOTING ON THE SLATE

  • The archon will share the proposed slate 24 hours before the chapter meeting vote.

  • The vote will be conducted through OurHouse. Make sure you are able to login at least 24 hours in advance. 

  • Members in good standing will be able to vote "yes" or "no" to the proposed slate. You must be in attendance at the chapter meeting to vote.

  • New members ARE eligible to vote.
